Frequently Asked Questions 1. I have already donated to the Conservative Party of Canada this year, can I donate to your nomination campaign as well? Yes, you can donate to both. Donations to the party and donations to my nomination campaign are two separate categories of donations. So even if you have already donated the maximum of $1,725 to the Conservative Party of Canada this year, you can still donate to my nomination campaign as well. You can donate up to an addditional $1,725 to my nomination campaign. 2. If I donate to your nomination campaign, am I eligible for a tax receipt and tax credits? Unfortunately donations to a nomination campaign are not eligible for a tax receipt and tax credits. We always want to point this out ahead of time because many people are surprised when they learn this. 3. Do you need donations during the nomination campaign? Yes, donations during the nomination campaign are very important. Our campaign has significant expenses during the nomination period so thank you very much for considering donating. We understand it is not as easy to donate to a nomination campaign because there is no tax receipt and tax credits. However, we hope you still consider donating. 4. What amount do people usually donate? We are very thankful for donations of any amount. Every dollar matters and your financial support will ensure our riding has a truly local candidate who has what it takes to win our swing riding of Port Moody-Coquitlam, Anmore & Belcarra in the general election. 5. How can I donate? There are 2 ways you can donate.
